I have always been inspired by the ability to create, think critically, and execute on ideas that progress the world. I've lived in Hong Kong, Toronto, San Francisco, France, and soon — New York. I switched schools over five times, created communities, built two successful businesses, and ultimately discovered what brings me energy.
I wore hard hats around my Dad's factories since I was eight. It wasn't until his bankruptcy 10 years later, following the '08 financial crisis, that I learned he raised at a $100M valuation, and led hundreds of hard-working white and blue-collar workers to build his vision for solar-grade silicon.
At fourteen, I built my first business with what I loved: sneakers. I sold contemporary sneakers to those twice my age, handling amounts of money I'd never seen, before meeting a supplier who would disappear after a $7,000 deposit. Four years later, reconstructing business models, building distribution and supplier channels, and continual execution — I scaled the business to over C$2M in revenue.
This summer, I will join Goldman Sachs in their Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Investment Banking team in New York.
